Please note the following when preparing art files that you will be sending to us.
Please visit the sending files
page at our main website for information on how to send files or
call 1-800-423-4371.
We accept both Mac and PC platforms and most graphics software. Files can be saved
in the following formats:
.EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) of any type - preferred!
.PSD - Adobe PhotoShop (version CS2)
.INDD - Adobe InDesign (version CS2)
.AI - Adobe Illustrator (version CS2)
.CDR - CorelDraw (version 10)
.PDF - Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
.QXD - Quark Express 6.5
We accept files on Compact Disc, DVD, Iomega Zip, and floppy disk. If you
are mailing us your files, please include in a hard-copy printout of your
files, so that we can proof the hard copy against your print files,
preventing any possible errors in file translation!
If you email, upload or FTP your files to us, please include a PDF of what you want printed, again so that we can
proof the PDF against your print files.
For the best possible results, please provide CMYK files, as our digital printers
use CMYK process. . However, we do also accept RGB files, which we will
then convert to CMYK at this end, if necessary.
If you require specific color matches then PMS Pantone colors must be specified
at the time of ordering. Color swatches or hard copies are an acceptable substitute to Pantone colors. We will match colors as closely as possible although we may not be able to color correct
embedded artwork. IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY A COLOR MATCH (PANTONE OR OTHERWISE)
THEN WE WILL ASSUME THAT EXACT COLOR MATCHING IS NOT CRITICAL AND WILL PRINT
THE FILE AS IS!
Whenever possible send your files in layers. Artwork that is sent as a
flattened file cannot be color-corrected by us without much difficulty.
Whenever possible send artwork as vector art, with all fonts saved in outline form. This allows for easy scaling and color corrections.
Be sure to include all fonts used in your artwork if they have not been converted
to outlined artwork.
Please include all images that have been embedded into the final layout of your file. These images files are important to the quality of your final print.
Scanned images should have a resolution of no less than 300 dpi (dots per inch) at 1/4 size of the final printed piece. Remember that resolution
decreases by the same factor as the enlargement you request. A 300 dpi original enlarged to
four times the original size will have a finished resolution of 75 dpi.
If you have questions on any of the above call 1-800-423-4371 and we'll gladly guide you through the process.
